Rolf Seelige-Steinhoff hails from North Rhine-Westphalia. The qualified engineer and businessman launched himself into a hospitality career while he was still a student. His first professional role was in the management of Interline Touristik Consulting GmbH in Wangen im Allgäu, a town on the shore of Lake Constance. He also successfully worked as a holiday trend scout. In the family business, he held the position of Managing Director at Strandhotel Rügen Hotel Betriebs GmbH as early as 1991, one year before taking over the management of the newly established company Seetel. He has been the executive manager of the family business since its incorporation. Today, he oversees 16 hotels, residences and villas in Usedom and is a member of the administrative board of the Hotel Bahia del Sol in Mallorca. At the peak of his career, Rolf Seelige-Steinhoff employed up to 465 members of staff and trainees, making him the second largest employer in the tourism industry of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
